Hi, I'm a 63 year old California Girl....been here all my life and probably will be here the rest of my life. I am a diabetic with sugars under control most of the time. I lost over 40 pounds on the Atkins diet but after not losing anything for over 2 months desided to try counting calories. I love people and I like to message (just learning) and I love SparksPeople sites...there is so much to do on it and it keeps me from over eating...So I hope to see you on the message boards and good ...

My Goals:
My biggest goal is to live a long life so I can see my 5 grandkids grow up and have families... : ) I am a caretaker to my 89 year old Mother and just lost my Dad in June... having a hard time dealing with that but he was 90 :) and lived a great life...My sugars are under control most of the time and just a samll lose makes them come dowm...
My Program:
I am tracking everything that goes in my mouth...boy was that a surprise in what I was eating and to get some exercise!!!! I have been using a pedometer and trying to make the 10,000 steps aday but have only made it to 6,000 but it will get better I believe in myself NOW since SP...

I love finding SP and I am on it a lot of the time....Learning to use the message boards more and more each day...I have a dog (black Pom) and he is my life not being married anymore after 30 years...Boy was that a change in my life...I have 2 kids a 40 year old boy who lives in Everette, WA and a 35 year old daughter who live here in the desert with me...5 grandkids 2 boys 10 and 13 and 3 girls 8months, 4 and 8 and they are the reason I want to live forever....and the man in my profile picture is my wonderful brother....
