Ready, Set...Go!

I have been using the Spark program now for years, and it's really been an incredible experience. Although I can't say that I am losing weight, I am maintaining what I weigh (which is something I most certainly did not do while I took a two month break from Spark). I truly believe that the absolute best part of Sparkpeople is the terrific support that I get from everyone on this site. I hope that I can be as good a motivator and as much of an inspiration as the people that I've met here. ...

I am a wife, mother, student and teacher. I really don't have a lot of time to spend on food preparation or exercise so I try to maximize the time that I have.

Oct 2012: I am trying to reassess my goals, as I don't seem to be making the kind of progress that I would have liked. I am shaving 20 pounds off my goal weight, and hope that by bringing the goal closer I will be more motivated to reach it.

My Goals:
To lose the weight that I put on BEFORE my pregnancy! (I wrote that two babies ago!)

Current weight loss goals:

1) To get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

2) To lose ~10% of my body weight (goal weight 150 lbs)




My Program:
To try to be really good about fitting excercise into my daily routine.
I've been doing at least 30 minutes of cardio daily. Missed days get made up with double time the next.
I've started walking more (which in my neighborhood is more like climbing). I love Cathe and Turbo Jam for the days that I can't get out.

Hey! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying Paleo. Yes, I do find that it works even with a cheat here and there and I love it! I lost more in a month on Paleo than I did in 3 months eating carbs and tracking. Right now, though, I'm bouncing back from more cheating than Paleo, lol! Thanks for the support, Dvora!

Thank you. I'm trying to get on a flight to go see him, but my passport is in some office getting my Indonesian visa renewed, and I have to wait until that is finished - can't travel internationally without the passport!

I hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer. Make the most of the wonderful season, while you still can.

Don't look now but someone from the past is coming back here, right after Labor Day. I hope you enjoy the last few days of your vacation from my heavy Spark action - it's soon over.
