I started gaining weight when I was about 10 I think. At least that's the firt time I remember getting teased for being chubby. Some of the boys in my class started calling me "Big J." From there I just kept gaining. In December 2009 I joined WW, weighing in at my highest ever 398.8#. I was devestated when I saw that number. I lost 30# over the next three months. Then I quit WW, I was tired of paying for something that I already knew. I knew what to day. I'd spent the last 15 years reading and trying everything to lose weight. I knew what to do, what to eat and not eat. I just never committed to it. Quitting WW was another example of me not finishing something, giving up on me. I bounced around between 368-378 for the next 10 months or so; then Jan 2011, I rejoined the gym but still wasn't committing to eating well. In Feb, I decided I was tired of putting out the effort at the gym and then ruining any benefit with poor eating choices. So that's where I am now... I'm at the very beginning of this journey but I feel like I've finally decided I'm worth it all.

My Goals:
To be comfortable in my own skin. To not feel regretful at the end of the day that I made unhealthy choices. To be proud of myself. To accomplish something for me.

My Program:
Cardio: 30 minutes minimum three days per week.

Strength training: 2 days per week.

No gym Mondays or Fridays (they're my long work day).

Up until September of 2011 I thought I knew what I was doing. That's all changed. Now I have to take care of me, for me.
