Hi I'm Bev.
I first logged onto SparkPeople around 2007. Back then I saw some improvement and thought I could manage on my own. I did for a while then I got lazy and let things slide. I have logged on here and there for short periods of time since. But I have never felt as serious about the weight loss as I do now. Before it was simply vanity, and a slight notion of failing health. Now it's not just vanity. I am seriously feeling the negative impact of carrying around too much ...

I first logged onto SparkPeople around 2007. Back then I saw some improvement and thought I could manage on my own. I did for a while then I got lazy and let things slide. I have logged on here and there for short periods of time since. But I have never felt as serious about the weight loss as I do now. Before it was simply vanity, and a slight notion of failing health. Now it's not just vanity. I am seriously feeling the negative impact of carrying around too much excess weight. Small exertion means shortness of breath, aching limbs, and feelings of uselessness. I know that if I don't do something to get healthy now, I will be in big trouble soon. I already have fallen arches, and thighs larger than my waist was at the age of 30. Lately, I have noticed patches of back fat - that is never good. So here I am again. Ready to embark on the fight for my life. I look forward to getting reacquainted with old friends and meeting new friends here on SP. See you on the team pages.

My Goals:
Live life with Joy, and with Praise on my Lips, and Love in my Heart.

My Program:
1. Remember I am always beautiful in the eyes of God and any success I have at getting to a healthy weight is by His grace and to His glory because He has motivated me, and provided me with the self-control and discipline I will need to achieve.

2. Measure once a week, and track the inches and pounds.

3. Chart my exercises.

4. Watch the food I eat.





Personal Information:
I recently moved to a small town in Alberta Canada and am loving the small town living.

I am a Christian that tries to be active within my church life.

I'm single without children. But I adore my wonderful great nieces and nephews.

My job is only that but I am so grateful that I have one.






Other Information:
My main reason for loosing weight is to get healthier and to be able to do more. Second to that, I'd like to take a picture of myself that I like. (There are so few of those!)

You're correct. I talked to the girl in charge that night and she said her PDA never went off telling her I was past my scheduled end time, so I never had anything more said to me about it.
