Getting fit: Take 3

I turned 50 last November. I never had any weight issues before age 30. I've only been able to stick to exercise/eating plans for a few months at a time over the last 20 years. In '03/'04, I lost 50 lb and I gained back 30 two different times. I've kept 50% of the good eating habits, but no portion control.

I want to do cardio 5 times or more a week. I want to get back to all my good eating habits and stop eating so much when it just tastes good. I want to introduce weight ...

I love my husband, he is my best friend. I have two great step kids. We adopted/rescued three miniature dachshunds and they are awesome. I ride a Harley and love trap shooting.

Hi, I read your comment you left on my secret: It's Never Too Late!
Well done for being so self motivated...I'm that way too!!
Another thing that has really helped me get back on track is that I've cut all junk food/sweet stuff out of my eating. And I mean ALL. I can't seem to control those foods at all so feel I'm better off without them; after all, there are so many healthy foods out there for us to be eating.
I wish you every success in attaining all your goals too.

Hi! I'm really not sure! I havent started looking yet! I guess I better get busy! I was going to do my 45 min run but SURPRISE! we woke up to a blizzard! So I guess I wont be able to get out today. So I will probably get out tomorrow or the very latest on Monday to officially 'finish'!!! Im so excited!!
I've seen a few 10k training programs- but Im not sure I want to start that yet because I'm planning to run my first 2 5ks in May and June.
Let me know when you post about your plan-I'd love to see it!
