Don't Let Yesterday Use Up Today!!

Wow!!! I'm actually here! It took me awhile to get into the swing of things, but I'm finally here!! I'm in my 40's, have 5 children and a loving husband. I have always been somewhat fit, until a very traumatic experience led me to gain 60 pounds, very quickly. Wow!!! I'm actually here! It took me awhile to get into the swing of things, but I'm finally here!! I'm in my 40's, have 5 children and a loving husband. I have always been somewhat fit, until a very traumatic experience led me to gain 60 pounds, very quickly. I never had to lose weight in the past, so I didn't have the knowledge OR patience to lose a long-term 60!! Many failed attempts! But finally, all of the stars must have aligned or something because I was able to get on board and start working toward my goal of losing that "depression" weight. I'm well on my way.

I started five years ago, very slowly, losing the weight. I started tracking everything I was eating, and I was exercising again for the first time in a long time! A couple months of being good and losing, a couple months of maintaining, back and forth and back and forth. I up'd my amount of working out by adding heavy weights to my cardio. Steadily, over the past five years, I have lost 60 pounds!!!! I am still working on those last pesky pounds. But I will get there. I know it!!

I am an emotional eater. When I'm upset, I eat. When I'm happy I eat. Why can't I be an emotional work-er out-er?? heehee! I absolutely love working out with my husband. He is such a huge support to me. I couldn't do it without him!!! He encourages me when I don't want to go to the gym. He's going....so...I might as well go too. I've never been disappointed AFTER going....only for NOT going.

My Goals:
Short term:

Reduce number of calories during WEEKENDS and nights out!!! Stay consistent with 1200-1300 calories daily during the week.

Gotta find something positive to replace "stress-eating" with!!

Long term:

When I reach my goal weight, I WILL maintain!!!


My Program:
Lifting and Cardio 3-5x per week. I have upper body injuries so I can only lift lower body weights and Abs...

Try to consume between 1200-1300 calories a day to lose 1.5 pounds a week.

Personal Information:
I teach choir at the high school level for my day job, and I'm a wife and mother of 5 for my night job!! I've been an Oregonian my entire life and feel blessed for it!! I'm a Christian trying to live my life being more like Him, failing every day!!! My husband passed away in 2004, leaving me with our three sweet boys. I miss him everyday. I remarried and am very happy with my new, wonderful husband. He came with two wonderful daughters!!! I love my family!!!
