Originally joined sparkpeople in 2007 to try to control my eating habits and develop a healthy attitude toward food. I have and will continue to have a very hard time with that.

In August 2009 I came back because nothing was working - i discovered hcg, lost weight, then gained about 75% back due to not following maintenance and eating like a pig. I did another round - same thing.

In 2010 i did okay until 3 vacations and a new work assignment did me in. lost 12 lbs and kept them off until Feb 2011...by the end of the year i gained most back, even after a short stint on ww online.

Okay - it's 2012, i know i have a problem with how i relate to food, and am going to do my best to control it.

I love to cook, run, shop and travel. And red wine and martinis. Always looking for a buddy that has same issues and interests to keep each other motivated.

My Goals:
i would love to weigh about 135, but that will never happen. new goals:

april 13: 148 (in clothes) - hit 149 in clothese april 12 - i'll take it!

may 9th 145.5

june 9: 142 (see if wedding dress fits after 25 yrs)

September 1: 138 (would be amazing)!!!



My Program:
I work out every weekday. I decided this year for my 'resolution' i would add variety - so i've taken up pilates, yoga. added a mat class on wed at office gym. starting to see changes.


My diet - i have food issues. i've found i have to really concentrate on eating and tracking to be successful. as soon as someone tells me i look great, i start the gaining cycle again. someone told me i looked great in early march...i've stalled!



Personal Information:
I live in northwest houston and have a tiny place in maine i go to at least every other month.


Other Information:
I like shopping, shoes, cheese, traveling and collecting (and drinking) wine. Not in any particular order! actually enjoy a good workout.

    Well, I've only been in Des Moines thirty years, so we probably didn't cross paths...I see you were smart enough to move someplace relatively warm....and when you get those ice storms down there in the winter, the news coverage of you Texans trying to drive on ice is pretty entertaining....

    HEY! CONGRATULATIONS on running your 10k...that's FANTASTIC!

    I wish I could say that I've been consistently jogging, but I haven't. I've averaged 30 minutes 2x a week, but I am going on 45 minute walks each day with my dogs, so I'm still moving every day.

    Keep up the wonderful work and weight loss!
