It's been a few years since I started my journey, and as with any journey, it's had its ups and its downs.

The latest down? Finals.

In May of this year I sit my final examinations and (hopefully!) graduate from Oxford University with a degree in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History. For a long while I let the stress run away with me, and I've been eating take-out or not eating at all, I've stopped working out and stopped thinking about my health.

Then I realised that there's something more important than a grade - my health and wellbeing! So I'm trying to pull back and balance out my life, and make sure that I don't sacrifice all my progress and success for a number.

Fitness Minutes: 4,724

My Goals:
I'll know I've achieved something when I can wear a bikini to the beach without embarrassment - at the moment I wear a tankini, keep wrapped in my towel or spend all my time in the sea where no one can see me!

My Program:
Gym three times a week. I row for 15 minutes and try and beat my distance, then do C25K and some strength training. I'm doing the 30DS and I also strength train at home.
In terms of food, I'm not cutting anything out of my diet - I'm just trying to find a balance that will let me live life healthily and enjoy it at the same time.

    We can do it! Lord, I don't think I've ever been this motivated, you're doing something good for me.

    A walk might be a really nice idea, actually. I'm still struggling to think of ways to exercise, although keeping c. 1,500 calories per day looks like it might be manageable! Which is good news. I just filled in my first day of tracking (like I promised myself, which is a good start) and everything is so much less than I thought it would be, I was really worried about the things I like eating everyday not being possible.

    I didn't even think of my legs. You are so right I can work out my lower body and I can still kick butt walking and on the bike at the gym. Thank you, I don't feel as bad now.

    Thank you ever so much for the hi five. I so needed it when I got to work this morning. I tell ya, I am just glad to only have to work one day next week.

    Hope you are enjoying sleeping in. Don't forget to run when ya get a free spot in your day. The fresh (crisp) air doesn't the lungs good?!?
