45 and the strongest I have ever been

45 Female, married to a great guy who supports all my whims (well...most of the time). Have 3 teens. One girl and two boys.

A year ago started looking into eating healthier. Recently stumbled across primal and paleo way of life and decided to give it a try. (2011)

It's now well into 2012 and a lot has happened in the past year.
I hope to learn from my mistakes. I still think that eating Primal is a good way of eating but I have other food issues which I am trying ...

On the plus side I am very strong physically. I can now focus on my eating habits.

I am trying to not diet. Learning what foods are kind to my body and what makes me ill (sick).

I feel like I don’t have the time to write about it, just keep taking it in stride I suppose. But it’s comforting to know that other people are dealing with similar issues and the support I’ve been getting is priceless. I don’t care so much about weight but I’m just disappointed in myself and worried I will have to deal with this for the rest of my life. Also I feel like I don’t deserve to reward myself for getting back on track when I never should have left the track in the first place haha. I’ll work on forgiving myself and thank you so much for your help!

Thank you for commenting on my blog! Yes, my family has absolutely been following - at least my husband and youngest son. My older two have no interest in walking with me but it has been nice family time this summer. Hope your week is going well!

Thanks for the supportive comments on my blog. I love Insanity too. Congratulations on getting half way through practically!! I wish you the best and with your food eating too. I know how hard that can be, but I have found the smaller meals throughout the day have been keeping me satisfied. Good luck!

Thank you for your blog post and the very smart words you said. I would love a recipe for a green smoothie if you have one. I don't have a juicer, but a great smoothie maker.

Unfortunately, no, food is not a factor. I don't have a gall bladder or appendix so those are out. I am under a lot of stress and am leaning towards an ulcer...or maybe working out too hard? I wonder if you can pull something in the stomach area? I agree about a tankini. I have one that I bought last year with "board shorts". So, I'm happy I don't need the "big girl" shorts, but can wear my bikini bottoms with a tankini.

I'm pleased with my progress, and I'll get there. I know the pictures I take this family vacation in Canada will be much better than last year! 17.5 pounds in 3 months (12 weeks and 2 days) is awesome. I'm happy and will be in the best shape of my life soon!

Thank you for commenting! Good luck with your goals!
