I started transforming my body on my 29th birthday. I didnt want to bring weight issues into my 30s. I wanted to leave it behind, and reinvent my life. After being size 20, 208 pounds for my adult life- I had had ENOUGH.

I made the commitment and stuck with it. It feels amazing. I am no longer trapped in my body. I feel strong, confident, and in charge of my life. I cannot tell you how different ALL aspects of my life are now. The weight loss has changed how I approach the world, people, and I am full of energy and life.

The motivation you seek is found inside yourself. Reach deep inside, and if you really really want it- go and get it! :)
Today is the only day we have, so let's make it count!!!

*90% of successful weight loss is watching what you eat. No matter how much I work out, food is key. :)

I also hit the gym with cardio 6 days a week and weight training 4 days a week.

2009 Update:
I couldn't get enough information about fitness and nutrition- I started helping others and got my ISSA Fitness Trainer Certification.

I also competed in an NPC Bikini Competition. It was the most frightening experience of my life, but I got on that stage at 115 with a flat tummy and a big smile. I have always been beautiful (before or after) and I am proud that I have been able to create goals and see them achieved.

Anything you want, it is possible.

Take ACTION, make a PLAN, and GO FOR IT!!!!!

Transformation takes time. You would never expect a woman who has been pregnant for a week to hurry up and give birth to a healthy baby in a month. It's the magic of changing matter after all. Stay strong. You've got this!!!

2016 Update:
A lot has happened since I last wrote.
For a few years I maintained my weight at 145-155 pounds and decided to move to Seattle, not knowing a soul but knowing I needed a fresh start.

Then I met and married the love of my life. We met at work, and had a whirlwind romance. A year later we had a baby girl! During the pregnancy, I reverted back to old comfort habits, gaining 55 lbs - I did not cope well with the nausea and life stress. Luckily I lost the pregnancy weight in the first 6 months after she was born (it took a heck of a lot of dedication, I didn't realize how difficult it would be with a new addition to the family)

Now I am in training mode, with a year-old toddler. I have a new found inspiration in my daughter, because I want to be a positive role model for her.

I have learned that there is no such thing as a final "before and after" and that the key to true success is a lifelong dedication to fitness and healthy eating. It is okay if we fall, our success through life is how often we get up again and fight for the body and life that we want.

As you go towards your fitness goals, know that I am there too, putting in the effort every day and giving it all I've got.

We've got this!!!

Objective 1:
1. Lose 75 pounds
-Goal Attained! 11/01/07

Objective 2:
Training for San Diego Bikini Competition in March 2010. Going from 30% bodyfat 146 pounds to 15% bodyfat.
Training starts 12/7/09
-Goal Attained! March 20th reached 116 pounds for competition!


My Program:
I eat 6-7 times a day with lean proteins as my base.
Regular cardio and weight training- the gym is my playground.
