Hello everyone,
I'm almost at my previous goal weight of 138, but I have a new one now, the new one is 128 lbs., it's getting slow now I think my body is trying to hang on to some extra fat, but I'm not giving up and that's why I needed it a new goal weight, I'm looking forward to continue with this plan and I'm also taking a Latin Workout on Mondays at 8:00p.m. (great exercise), aside from walking on my machine at home for a minimum of 45 minutes every day, but Saturdays, I walk to the ...
Hello everyone,
I'm almost at my previous goal weight of 138, but I have a new one now, the new one is 128 lbs., it's getting slow now I think my body is trying to hang on to some extra fat, but I'm not giving up and that's why I needed it a new goal weight, I'm looking forward to continue with this plan and I'm also taking a Latin Workout on Mondays at 8:00p.m. (great exercise), aside from walking on my machine at home for a minimum of 45 minutes every day, but Saturdays, I walk to the incline level 10 at a 4.0 speed and this is the best part that even walking at that speed I'm able to walk at least 3 miles, I will also be adding strenght training in the near future to complete my fitness routine, I'm not an expert at fitness, but one thing I know that consistency is key and this applies to eating habits and exercise. I know that if I revert to my old self the weight I have lost and more will come back in no time, and I'm not giving up all the benefits I'm getting out of the new me, like feeling full of energy, being healthier and yes I know I'm being vain but I'will not give up my small size new wardrobe and by graduation day I believe I'll be an extra small, see I'm only 5'2 so 128 will be just fine, I have 2 grown up daughters 22 and 20 and I'm 44 years young, so I will continue to work hard and eating healthy to reach my goal and I'll maintain my weight loss because I see this as a new way of living and let's be real it's a great life.

My Goals:
I'm working hard toward my goal of 138 lbs. by 01-12-09, I gave myself a year but I'm working hard toward achieving my goals sooner than 01-12-09, I actually would like to be 138 by summer this year; so I'll give it my best physical and mental energy along with your support and I know I have a winning formula.

My Program:
I am walking (intervals speed/incline) on my machine at home for 40 minutes every day (2.5 miles) and I'm burning an average of 450-490 calories on each workout. Also I'm eating frozen diet food at the office for portion control and I prepare a very healthy breakfast and dinner at home. My problem is portion sizes, not the quality of food I eat so I'm learning what an actual portion is and keep my calorie intake between 1200-1400 daily. also I don't drink any fruit juices and increase my tea intake(no caffeine) only herbal to 3 cups daily and water all day long.

Personal Information:
I live in Los Angeles, CA and work full-time as an Office Manager for a small company; I do love my work and I'm very lucky to work for my best friend.

Other Information:
I do love to read books, magazines; also I do love movies and enjoy gardening. I try to make it to my local farmers market every weekend to stock up on fresh fruit and produce.

Congrats on losing 50 pounds! I am back on Spark People trying to do the same thing (for the 2nd time - I gained it ALL back!) - hope you are doing well.

Hi Alma, Thanks for adding me as a friend. I've done the same with you.
Thanks too for the comments on my Spark Page blog about plateaus. I'm sorry that you went through one, but glad to know that I'm not alone. It's so frustrating, but I am hopeful that now that I'm doing Curves it will jumpstart my weight loss again. I have been doing Curves for only a month, but also do cardio at another gym 2 days a week. I also try to walk as much as possible. We are getting into the warmer weather so I am going to be getting into the pool more often and doing water jogging and water aerobics.
Right now I'm not too comfortable in my size 6's and that worries me. I feel very bloated for some reason. I read somewhere that it could be water from strength training but I'm not sure if that's correct or not. I would love to be 128 or 129.... not just because I think it's a great weight to be, but to be able to say I'm in the 120's!!! I don't know if that will happen though, so hopefully Curves will help me to tone up and look better at the weight I am now. You and I are very much alike in height and size, and I am hoping and praying that we both stay that way!!
