Hello all. I want to lose 40 pounds. I gained a lot of weight when my brother was deployed to Afghanistan. Now that he has returned home, I need to lose it!

I am a student, parent and I work full time. Fast food and stress have seemed to have gotten the best of me. I want to lose this weight and get back to the place I was before. I miss the energy and the happiness. I hate the way I look. Alas, that is why I am here. :)

Welcome to Spark! To get an idea of what's available go to sparkpoints. If you run down the line you will see pretty much everything here. I like the fitness and nutrition trackers. They show how many calories you take in and burn off.
We have a challenge posted on the team page for February. Join in anytime and we hope to see your input on the team page

I make a big salad and keep it in the fridge. When I know I can't cook I grab a serving and add tofu and dressing. I change it up by adding buffalo chicken veggie, crumbled boca burger , lemon chix veggie and the terriyaki tofu. Another fast meal is a box of pasta and a jar of sauce.
I'm happy to hear your brother made it back safely. My daughter met her husband while serving. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Iíve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, itís a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!

Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!
