The loneliness of the long distance runner...

Today lets run around like we really mean it. everything we do will add up to something, make every action count for something and give your best in everything you do.

I'm Tatiana. i'm a 21 year old college kid. Distance running is my thing. i've ran since i was 12 and was drafted to a collegiate xc team and ran competitively for the first time in my life. After a season I discontinued running with the team to focus on other aspects of fitness. I work on campus as a fitness instructor and am currently working to become certified as a personal trainer as well as various formats of fitness instructing.

to keep my weight loss story simple.. at my highest point i was 180 pounds. i struggled for years with anorexic tenancies and exercise bulimia and after yo-yoing between 135 and 150 i finally realized healthy habits would work much better. i've since recovered and have put my focus not only on making it to my goals but being healthy and taking care of myself in the process. last year i finally made it down to 125 but two weeks before my first marathon i suffered a knee injury in the weight room and as a result spent the next nine months in physical therapy. i did my best to keep up on my work outs through kick boxing and the elliptical. in the end i ended up gaining about 15 pounds- some muscle some fat. I don't like putting numbers to goals but to give you guys an idea, I'm working now to get back to the 12-15% body fat range. which will put my weight somewhere around 120-125 pounds.

Thanks for the motivating comment on my blog!! I almost joined cross country in high school but wanted to play volleyball instead, sometimes I regret not doing it!!! But now I can :ppp, just not the pressure of trying to win races. I'll get there one day though...good look with your goals as well and stay in touch! We're all in this together!!
