I have been on this weight loss journey for awhile now. I lost sixty pounds several years ago. I had a bulging disc in my neck which slowed me down and I gained back twenty. I've tried three times working with personal trainers at three different gyms. Each time I ended up back in therapy. Mostly my own fault because I have trouble saying "No, I am not physically able to do that exercise, or lift that much weight." I'm afraid they will think I am just a whiney fat person making excuses. ...

I'm afraid they will think I am just a whiney fat person making excuses. So I will push myself, knowing my own limitations. I've lost seven pounds so far, but have a long way to go...
Update: 7/24/2013
Spark coach felt it was time to update my spark page, so here goes. I jumped back on here in May and am doing fairly well. I am getting my life in order not just my weight. I am trying to lighten my footprint every where, less stuff, less stress, fewer obligations, less weight. At the same time I am adding to my life experiences in a meaningful way. Choosing how I commit my time to activities, people, places with care and thought. If I slow everything down a little life is more enjoyable and meaningful. It's ok to say no, and it's ok to eliminate some people from your life.

I have lived in the Midwest my entire life. I love to travel but always love to return home again to the four beautiful seasons. My favorite place to visit is a tie between Ireland and Hawaii. They are both gorgeous and unique.

Other Information:
I like to sew, quilt, craft and garden. I have two beautiful grown children and have been married for more than 30 years.

Thanks so much for your insightful comment on my blog. It makes so much sense that we're just mentally and physically tired by the end of the day. I'm now much more aware that I have so much less "fight" left by that time!
