I Can! I Will! I Am!

I have been struggling with my weight for about 9 years now. Loose then gain, loose then gain. At one point I had told myself I am just meant to be fat. I have been struggling with my weight for about 9 years now. Loose then gain, loose then gain. At one point I had told myself I am just meant to be fat. There are a ton of overweight people, why not me. That is when I started to get REALLY heavy and got up to 220 pounds. I never would look in a mirror, never would wear shorts on a hot summer day, hated it when I caught reflection in a window. I am not sure what happend, what that moment was when I decided it was enough. I decided I would try to loose wieght and started to loose then gain. I repeated that cycle for about 3 more times. You would have thought I would have gotten it before that, but I guess I am a bit stubborn even when it comes to my own good. I started to have chest pains and it freaked me out a bit so I went to the doctor. She told me I had a thickening of my heart and I was very unhealthy. I needed to make a change or I was going to start to have some very serious concequences. That was the moment that I knew I had to make a serious life change. I totally rehauled my life. The food I ate, the attitude I had, the way I lived my life...everything. During this rehaul I realized that before I never changed my lifestyle. Health was not the focus, but wieght loss was. I was missing a huge piece of the puzzle.

I am happy to say that my focus now is health and I have never been happier. The mirror is not off limits anymore, I wore shorts all summer and tank tops!

My Goals:
To eat within my calorie range every day.

To do a full workout at least 4 times a week.

To do something active - basketball, biking, hiking, whatever - every day.





My Program:
Strength Training 4-5 days a week

At least 1 hour of cardio 4-5 days a week

Running and Spinning are my favorite cardio activities.

Stay active and have fun -
Hiking, Biking, Walks, Basketball, Tag, Play!

Focus on eating healthy and watching those portions.

Personal Information:
I am married and have 2 beautiful children.

You always know how to put a smile on my face ;) thanks for the comments on my blogs. I am ecstatic to see what monday brings. I will share my secret with you....the scale today said something I haven't seen on this weight loss journey lol. So 161 is not my lowest anymore but I want to keep everyone in suspense lol
