Hi all. If you have stumbled upon my page, chances are you are just like me in one way & that is trying to lose all that extra fat off your body.

Lets just say we can do it. YES we can do it.

Like many others I have been struggling to lose my weight for quite some time. Say 8 years now.

I have always been an extra 15-20 lbs more since I can remember but all that changed when I was diagnosed with asthma back in 2006. I ended up gaining 40 lbs in one year with all the steroids I was taking to control my asthma.

In spring of 2010 I had my beautiful daughter & then added a whopping 70 lbs to my then weight. I currently stand at 267 after losing 2 lbs since I joined sparkpage.

As much as I take pride in my Pakistani heritage let just say the food I have been eating hasn't been making me all that proud since I actually started counting calories on it. Its going to be a tough road down but I am all ready for the journey.

All thanks to sparkpage that has taught me to track my calories, exercise & water in take & double thanks to Biggest Loser Challenge 12 that has motivated me even more to lose this extra flab of fat.

I say Lets Do IT :)

Drink at least 14 cups of water a day.

Track calories & stay at the right range.

No carbonated drinks or sweets till I lose my first 50 lbs & get to 220 lbs

Zumba 3x a week.

Strength Training with weights once a week

Thank you :) As much as I try not to do these mid week weigh ins, they have the opposite effect on me. When I see a loss it makes me work harder but then when I see a gain it kind of messes me up. So I do try to stick to my routine of only weighing in once a week :)

I do eat meat, but I don't have Desi food on a regular basis anymore (since I have moved out). In fact, I rarely have it. Usually when I'm visiting my parents' house.
