What have you done today that moves you toward your goal?

Hello from Richfield Minnesota!

My weight has been a series of ups and downs over the last 30 years. My focus now is eating healthfully, being consistently active in enjoyable activities, and letting weight loss happen at its own pace. I want to stay strong as I age through regular physical activity.

Before starting my Spark journey, I had already lost 25 pounds (again... a series of ups and downs over nine years). I am excited to see how far the Spark pages can take ...

I am excited to see how far the Spark pages can take me toward my final goal.

For the last month my main form of exercise has been house work, yard work, and construction while cleaning up a rental property. It is doing the job of keeping me on the losing weight... just a different form of physical activity. I am looking forward to getting back to walking outdoors and a fitness class as fall starts. Oh yes... I am happy to say I bought a swimsuit for the first time in about 20 years. (simple joys)

6/26/2010 - Wow! 25 pounds gone since mid-March and I am feeling great. I am solidly into workouts three times a week at Curves. I also walk/hike about 6-8 miles a week. My body feels strong and healthy. Even a couple of weak joints (one shoulder and one hip) are slowly gaining strength and causing me less pain. Because I have chosen a slow weight loss path, I don't feel deprived in the least. This is awesome.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. That is really interesting about the food combinations helping to sleep and "feel good". You are so right that it would be great if we could crave the healthy way to get what we need. I am definitely going to try to do some substitutions when I get those compulsions. Thanks again!

Congrats on being so close to out-shrinking everything! I figure I won't out-shrink everything until I get to about 40 lbs, so I am good for a while. I think I will need to go shopping right around Christmas.
