Trying this again!
I'm rejoining Spark. I tried it out a few years ago and didn't really do the "social" part of things. I'm hoping if I reach out and am a little more open on here maybe I'll get some better results this time around. I'm hoping if I reach out and am a little more open on here maybe I'll get some better results this time around. My weight has slowly creeped up over the years starting with when I went back to school a few years ago. I'm currently the heaviest I've ever been. I've lived in the San Francisco bay area for close to two years now. I was hoping to moving to California the "active lifestyle" stereotype would rub off on me, and I'd lose some pounds. While people here are overall pretty active, something I didn't take into account were all the scrumdiddlyumptious restaurants the bay area as to offer....daaamn you! (Which is also not a good motivator for trying to cook more!) So, I think it goes without saying, no weight has been lost since I moved here...I may have even gained a pound or two....but now I'm really looking to change that! I currently have a long commute (1.5-2 hours each way) so that makes exercise a little challenging right now. Luckily, I only have to do it for a couple more months but I don't want to wait and make excuses to lose weight and get a little healthier and I want to do it now. So, I'm trying to do what I can now!
