Up for the Challenge

I am excited about starting my first Spark People challenge. I signed up for the 5% Fall Challenge and will be on the Starfish team.

Fall 5% Challenge Nutrition Plan

For this challenge, I will continue to follow the Spark nutrition guidelines, watch my portions, and stay in my daily 1200 to 1500 calorie range. I will eat plenty of vegetables, fruit, lean protein and healthy grains.

Fall 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment

I commit to exercising at least 30 minutes 6 days a week. I will do strength training DVD's and/or exercises 3 days a week and alternate between walking and bicycling 4 days a week.

My Goals:
My goals for 2014 are:

Be able to wear all the size large shirts and 18w pants that are hanging in my closet having never been worn

Be able to wear my chocolate diamond ring on my ring finger instead of my pinky

Be able to fit in rollercoaster seats








My Program:
Getting out of bed early enough to start my day with a good workout

Go to bed at a reasonable hour to assure that I get a good night's sleep

Stay within 1500 calories on the days I exercise

Stay within 1200 calories on days that I am unable to exercise

Plan my meals and exercise schedules in advance

Do at least 30 minutes of exercise daily

Take one day at a time

Exercise:

Workout DVD's
Walking
Riding my bike


Personal Information:
I realize that in order to achieve my fitness goals, I am going to have to get used to going outside my comfort zone and let go of my need for perfection. I also need to stop letting fear keep me from doing whatever it takes to be successful.
