This is going to be the year that I finally pull out all the stops and do whatever it takes to meet and complete my goals. 2016 was designated as my year to de-junk. My plan was to de-junk my body, my office, and my mind. I was successful in all three areas...I lost 40 lbs., I can now see the floor in my office, and have much less "brain fog". But I'm only halfway there as there is still much more to be accomplished.

To continue de-junking my body:

I am going to continue preplanning my menus
Continue logging every morsel I put in my mouth in the nutrition tracker
Continue exercising 20 to 30 minutes a day
Consume very little refined sugar
Teach myself to line dance
Try to dance around the house with wild abandon a couple of times a week
Continue to ride my bike for a 60 to 90 minutes at least twice a week

To continue de-junking my office:

Continue doing something to improve the room every day.
Continue taking it slowly to avoid becoming overwhelmed and quitting altogether.
Now that I see the light at the end of the tunnel, I am going to make plans to paint, get new flooring and new window treatments as a reward for finally making the room clutter free.

To de-junk my mind:

I will limit my TV watching to no more than 2 hours a night.
I will plan to have a project to keep my mind occupied and off food while watching TV.
I will continue to strengthen my relationship with God and turn to him instead of food when I am stressed, bored, or tempted to eat mindlessly.

In order to complete this mission before 2018, I will need to continue facing my fears, stop putting things off, and put into practice the lessons I learned in 2016.

Not let my weight hinder me in any way. I want to perfect my paddle boarding skills and maybe even get brave enough to try roller skating again. I want to be comfortable on the dance floor.

Tracking every morsel that goes into my mouth

Stay within 1200 to 1500 calories

Plan my meals and exercise schedules in advance

Do at least 20-30 minutes of exercise daily


Turn to God when faced with temptation

Take one day at a time

    Great losing the 40 pounds. I have close to 100 to lose, but I only look at a pound at a time. The big picture is too scary. I have set a goal of 40 pounds in 2017. I know that I can do this with the help of my Spark friends. emoticon
