I'm on the right and instructed the photographer to take the photo from the waist up.

I'm on the left and, at 280 lbs. was very near my all time highest weight

I have 3 pics in my gallery

Time to step outside my comfort zone

Inspired by my favorite reality TV show, "Extreme Weight Loss Makeover", I have come to the realization that I need to stop "playing it safe and comfortable" and do whatever it takes to get fit and healthy.

I am going to start giving myself 90 day challenges with the first being to lose atleast 30 lbs. by the first of November. This means that I will have to give up TV and internet time in order to fit in 2 hours of daily exercise. I also will need to go to bed at a decent hour ...

I am going to start giving myself 90 day challenges with the first being to lose atleast 30 lbs. by the first of November. This means that I will have to give up TV and internet time in order to fit in 2 hours of daily exercise. I also will need to go to bed at a decent hour so I can get up at 5:30 to workout. This is going to be a great sacrifice for me but I am worth it!

Thank you for adding me as a friend, Judy. I love to scavenge at yard sales and Good Will stores, too. And like you, size 18W is a size I would like to say good-bye to! Let's aim for size 16 soon!

"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible.....
It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice.
Big things are built one brick at a time.
Victories are achieved one choice at a time.
A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!"

Be your own hero, one choice and one step at a time! You might not see visible signs of progress right away, but as long as you keep doing your best, you will make progress and you will be victorious! I'm rooting for you! Remember, you're worth your best effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

"The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful."
-Michael Josephson

"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback...it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you."

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."

"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."
-Robert White
