Hi, my name is Marsha and I live in Southern Oregon. I started Sparkpeople in Jan 08, lost 20 pounds my first month, then I hit a plateau for about a month and a half. I tried several things to get over the plateau, but nothing I tried worked....I got frustrated, disappointed, and finally convinced my self that I just couldn't do it.
Then I got on meds for a hypothyroid! This seems to help with my energy levels and mood swings.
For the next couple of months I tried Weight Watchers and the Carb Addicts Diet. I hated paying for the Weight Watcher's Diet, just felt like it was a waste of money, I mean, "Why couldn't I do it myself?" The Carb Addicts Diet was easy to understand and follow their concept and I lost a few pounds. Which got me reved-up to get back on Sparkpeople and start doing more research to help me lose the weight once and for all.
So here I am...giving it another go! This time I will follow through and work through the kinks and learn as much as I possibly can to gain better health. Because I am DONE! That's right, DONE!!
1) Track all food and exercise each day.
2) Do at least 30 minutes of exercise each day!
3) Learn as much as I can about my body and what it needs to be healthy.
-AM- Cardio, Resistance training, Strength, or Aerobic workout
(9:30am M-F) 15-20 mins Speed Walking
Cycle my calories according to my weight and activity level.
My name is Marsha. I work in accounting for the past 18 years with the same company full-time. I have a fiance and 2 boys; 14 years old and 1 year old. I have been taking evening college classes for the past 4 years towards my bachelors in biology. I love to play softball, camp, fish, walk, hike, basically anything outdoors.
