I would say that the most important thing I would like to say in introducing myself to those of you who do not know me, is to say that I am a child of the King! My goal is to live a godly life and in so doing please the Lord, lift Him up for the world to see, and bring others to the knowledge of God's love, peace, joy, mercy and grace. He said "If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me." According to His Word, everybody receives a gift from the Lord of some type and a calling to minister in some area. I feel a calling on my life to love and encourage others, so if that is all that I do all day, I am satisfied that I have done what God has called me to do. I know that God is on the throne and that although I do not see the whole big picture of what is going on in my life or others, I know that God does, so even when I am in horrible pain and cannot breathe comfortably or move without shortness of breath, I can rest assure that God has things under control and that He is worthy to be praised!
I used to be able to ride a bike 20 miles every day and play racquetball, but I have gotten an undiagnosed illness that causes me to need oxygen 24/7 and also causes severe pain. It is thought that both issues are caused by one disease process, yet undetermined.
Update: My lungs have improved, but the oxygen is still necessary due to my heart working overtime and shortness of breath with any standing or movement of any kind. The cause for my heart working overtime is yet undetermined. The Mayo Clinic doctor thinks that part of the cause for my severe pain is due to steroid myopathy. My pain specialist also now believes that I have fibromyalgia. He has ordered hydrotherapy to help with the pain and to assist in losing some weight. Now that I am off of prednisone, the weight should be able to come off, although it still may be slow due to sluggish metabolism caused by the prednisone.
Long term prognosis: undetermined
1. To live a life pleasing to the Lord
2. Lose total of 219 pounds
3. Eat healthy
4. Increase fitness
5. Get off Oxygen
Eat a healthy, balanced diet of lean proteins, lots of vegetables and fruit, little or no processed foods, only whole grains, but in small amounts, and drink at least 150 oz of Water every day.
