"Sing like no one is listening,
Love like you've never been hurt,
Dance like nobody is watching, and
Live like it is heaven on earth."

-- Mark Twain

As I've grown older, I feel like my life has become increasingly more complex. This manifests itself in the amount of time I'm spending each day just trying to keep stacks of paper and other junk under control, with less time available to let my creative side come out and play!

I'm looking for a simpler existence. This doesn't necessarily mean "easier," but it does mean being closer to the "real" me ... finding a balance between all the different hats I need to wear, giving up the tasks and responsibilities that don't really offer much personal fulfillment, in favor of those that do, and clearing out all the clutter, both physical and mental.

My Goals:
Healthier lifestyle
More creative expression
Time to reflect & journal
Time to PLAY & DANCE

My Program:
Trying to put myself first ... this is hard. Why should I allow myself time to dance when there are dishes that need to be done or bills that have to be paid?

Personal Information:
I split my time between living in an urban setting and living on Lake Superior's North Shore. I prefer the woods & lake, but currently rely on work in the Cities to pay the bills, so that's where I am most of the time. It's a conundrum that doesn't seem to have an answer right now.

Other Information:
I have always loved to MOVE. It is disheartening to find myself in such a condition that movement is hard or painful. Reduced activity level at work leads to overweight, leads to joint issues, leads to more weight problems. Broken bones lead to osteoarthritis ... viscous cycle!

I truly believe logging my food has been the number one key to my success. It helps me to see what the nutritional value of food REALLY is, to balance my nutrients intelligently, to plan ahead when I can, to make healthy choices in general.

When I began using the tracker, logging took a long time. Now it is a turnkey operation. The tracker becomes intuitive and knows what you are looking for. I can track for the day in a couple of minutes.

So, I suggest you take the extra computer time now and log log log.

Good luck with your journey. You can do this!
