Doing Something All For Me

I've been on this journey for over 25 years now. I've made some good changes to my eating habits, exercise more regularly, drink more water and get enough sleep. There is no magic pill. I will not lose weight just by thinking about it and relying on feeling motivated. The key is slow and steady practice of boring baby steps. And not stepping on the scale every day!

My Program:
Keeping track of my food intake and sticking to a calorie count for the day. Working out at least 3 times a week. Drinking at least 60 oz. of water a day. Finding ways to comfort and reward myself with things other than food.

Personal Information:

Hi there! Thanks for the add & I've added you back. I've really found the 5% challenges to be both fun and supportive, but no matter what else you do, I strongly recommend tracking your food. Everyone I've known to be successful has done this religiously, although the rest of the program is totally flexible. Just see what works for you. emoticon

Welcome to Smart Carbing!! We are really happy that you joined us. We are a very friendly group and have many successful and knowledgeable members. Our members are on all kinds of plans such as Atkins, South Beach, Protein Power, Low Glycemic. etc. What we share in common is a desire to eat high quality carbs and leave behind the processed sugary ones that cause medical problems and obesity. Feel free to introduce yourself in the proper forum and join in on the threads and challenges. We usually have a few going all the time. Ask question if you need help and share your successes and challenges with us. I hope you like our group!!

Hello and Welcome to SparkPeople!

I started Sparking in June of 2007. By using Spark and some self discovery along the way, I'm down 50 pounds, and am holding steady at a healthy weight. Spark is a massive site, you'll be discovering new and exciting things for months to come!
Diet is a dirty word, every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate emoticon emoticon
