I'll be investigating bitter melon to lower blood sugar. If this works, it is something you can grow in your garden this summer. The implication could be huge. emoticon

LOL, what happened to the Low Carb Diet thread? This time I didn't do it. The censorship here is ridiculous.

Thought you might want to see this short video by Andreas Eenfeldt. In the first 5 mins, he compares his blood sugars of a low carb meal, and then a high carb meal, with pictures even of what he ate, and what happened in graphs. The high carb meal was from a convention on obesity..lol

He looks healthy, and I am not sure if he is diabetic, but what happens after the second meal is amazing, not only how high it goes, but how low it goes.

This is the 5th segment of a speech on the LLVLC gruise.

Oops! Sorry..lol.

I read all the time about these kids they are treating epilepsy for, with a ketogenic diet. You would think that at the same time, they might collect other data as well, such as weight, lipids, as well as glucose levels, to see what caused the improvement. Probably even other tests that i can't think of. I wish they would share these results as well.

Started a new thread on Diabetes Management team. I am trying to start a dialogue on what # people would be happy to see on their meter. At 6.5 - 7.0, Berstein says this coincides with a 160-180 blood sugar. I think most diabetics following the diabetic diet are struggling to get that low, so wonder what they would consider a " win ".

I find it interesting that they focus so much on getting these numbers, but not so much on improving them. Other than medication, they don't seem to have any plan to lower blood sugar. I know I used to be happy if I had under a 180 b.s.

The plan for most diabetics seems to be just take some pills, and still have high blood sugars. I have to wonder why my doctor didn't just raise my meds higher, so i could get my b.s, under 110. Even if I gave up on a dietary solution, isn't the goal still 80-110?
