Working with a new plan!

The bad news: I went off the rails during the holidays and added 20 lbs. to the 30 I needed to lose.

The good news: This mega-binge really made me FEEL the results of unhealthy eating. My heart felt funny. I felt like I was bursting out of my skin. I just felt icky overall, and by the time the holidays were over I was ready to try again!

So I went back to what has worked for me in the past: no sugar, no white flour, low(ish) carbs and more protein. More or less, I am ...

So I went back to what has worked for me in the past: no sugar, no white flour, low(ish) carbs and more protein. More or less, I am following the plan outlined in a book called The Science of Skinny by Dee McCaffrey.

I have been sticking with the plan for nearly 3 weeks as of 1/16, and my last weigh-in I was down a total of 9.5 lbs (in two weeks - water weight, sure, but it's not coming back!).

The week of 1/13 I added in light exercise. I have a trend of staying on an eating plan, then feeling like I deserve to blow it when I work out really hard, so I'm keeping it mild for a while until I really prove to myself I can stick with the plan long-term.
