In June 2010 I started to realize that the "I'll take better care of myself when I'm older" excuse doesn't cut it anymore since the "when I'm older" part is NOW.

I first challenged myself to cut back on my calories, and limited myself to eat out only once per week. Then I built up my stamina on the treadmill and, together with longs walks with my dog Leto, managed to lose 30 pounds in 7 months.

I first challenged myself to cut back on my calories, and limited myself to eat out only once per week. Then I built up my stamina on the treadmill and, together with longs walks with my dog Leto, managed to lose 30 pounds in 7 months.

In December 2010 I hit 130. I've been hovering there ever since. I'm having a hard time losing the last 10 "Vanity Pounds" but because I've come so far I want to finish if I can.

I love the spark community and I attribute all my success to the great support I've found here. I believe we all have the potential to meet our goals, we just need to value ourselves enough to make it happen.

Thanks for commenting on my Xweighted and Me... PART II blog. I was so excited when I got the email that said it was posted. Then I kind of got a little pit in my stomach, knowing that possibly thousands of people would be able to see it. Then I knocked that pit out and remembered that was why I did it to begin with. To let others know that we are all human and that we all have different stories as to how we got where we are but that we are still trying to achieve the same goal.
