I'm a Hillbilly and proud of it!

I'm a SAHM (currently looking for work) with 3 kiddos ages 12, 5 and 3. I live out in the country and I love it. I am pretty active outdoors, but I have a sugar addiction that I really need to kick. That coupled with hypothyroidism is a recipe for disaster.

My Goals:
My goal is not only lose 40 pounds, but to do so by my sons' 13th birthday as a gift to him. I want to not only tell my kids, but show them how much I love them. My other goal is to be a better role model for my kids so hopefully they will make better choices than I did.

Personal Information:
My name is Julie, but most everyone calls me Julie rae or Jules. I am from Starlight, Indiana and I LOVE IT! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I have my own garden and have stayed pretty busy with freezing tomatoes for the winter.

Other Information:
I am a dog and horse chick. I love to read. I have been focusing on garden, canning, Celtic lore, faeries and flowers. .

Need a little help breaking this no loss movement?
Wanna try Dr Fuhrman's first 6 week Nutritarian lifestyle?
It's really simple.
Make salad your main dish.
What I've been doing is
Oatmeal, walnuts, and a fruit mixed in or topped I love my blueberries, for breakfast
Then for lunch and dinner I create a fruit and vegetable salad and eat until I'm full and not hungry. Usually equals about 3-4 cups a serving. And with the dinner salad I add a steamed dark green vegetable; broccoli, asparagus, green beans or brussel sprouts to name a few.

If and when I get hungry and need a little something between lunch and dinner I've been having a 1/2 cup Greek yogurt with honey and mix in fruit or vegetable which ever you prefer.
or I'll have a vegetable sandwich using wholegrain breads.

And I've been steadily losing anywhere from 1.4 kgs or 3-5 pounds a week
After the six weeks are done you can once again incorporate your meats and dairy

And the only exercise I've really been doing is a half hour of Wii Free Step and my ADL (Activities of daily living.

My sixth week ends this week and even after that my main dish will be fruits and salads 30-60% unlimited really
Carbs will fall into the 10-40%
Meats and animal fat will be 10% to rarely but if I want to have a steak I'll have one but my main staple of meat will be white breast of chicken or fish.
Sweets same 10% or less.

It's not vegan and it's not vegetarian It's Nutritarian

So try it I promise your weight loss stand still won't last much longer!
