I haven't really been active on Sparkpeople for a couple of years, but I really enjoy the site. My weight loss isn't as straightforward as I had hoped it would be because I've been dealing with food intolerances, so it's a longer, more winding journey with a few steep learning curves along the way. I'm finally starting to lose after years of trying everything and gaining, gaining, gaining!

I am currently gluten, dairy, soy, MSG, and citric acid free and hoping to do some challenges so I can start adding foods back into my diet. I've been off most of these substances since January 30th, 2011. Any weight loss that's reflected in the ticker below has been since then.

Fitness Minutes: 824

My Goals:
Ideally, I would like to lose 1.5 lbs a week for the next year. That would put me right in the middle of a healthy BMI. I also have a goal to become more accepting of myself and my body, although, I'm not sure how to get there yet.

My Program:
Right now I am educating myself. I am learning what my body likes and what it doesn't. I'm hoping to add exercise into the mix once my system heals a bit more.

Personal Information:
Currently, I live in Topeka, KS. I'm a photographer. I like to read, hang out, surf the internet, and play my ukulele. I am a big OU Sooners fan and I enjoy making new friends!

Other Information:
I've recently been inspired by the wife of one of my junior high school friends who lost 40 lbs. I figure if she can do it, so can I! Thanks Heidi for being my inspiration!
