My goals are to eat healthier, lose 13 lbs and maintain and get back some of the energy I once had.

Hi! I'm Honey.
I am a "work in progress" with all I attempt to do. My willpower isn't what it once was whether it's with food, exercise or starting a new project. My husband suffered a massive stroke last year and remains in a nursing home/rehab facility; this is a reason for my putting myself "on the back burner" but it's not an excuse. I am commited to making this program work!

Other Information:
I am a Christian who believes that God sees me through all my ups and downs.
I am the proud mom of 2 adult boys who mean everything to me.
I love to laugh and to make others laugh.
My hobbies are decorating and arts and crafts.

Check for fitness classes at the Senior Center, or the Adult Education (we have them held here at local high schools) or the Junior College (ours has a nice pool, and the University of West Florida has a huge one). These are all low cost activities. There is a track at the college where large numbers of people go to walk each afternoon/evening.

I'm sorry to hear a bout your loss.

As for your question, many gyms have free membership trials. If you live in an area with a few of them try one for a week and then next month try another. Keep to your home workouts for consistency. I do both because if I can't get to the gym I can always make it to my living room. emoticon
