I'm leaving what I wrote when I first posted pictures so people will know where I started. This is my second photo update since starting my healthy living program. I think I can see the difference that 20+ pounds lost makes. It isn't as obvious as the other photo where I'm wearing the same clothes. This is my new comparison outfit. I'd like to see how the clothes fit after the Fall 2014 5% challenge.

I've have added BEFORE pictures that were really hard to have taken. I feel that they are key to my longterm success. I will be taking updated photos to remind myself that I am making a difference. I have a bad habit of losing (e.g.) 20 pounds and looking in the mirror and instead of congratulating myself saying "you're still fat". Hopefully, by posting lesser weight photos next to the heaviier weight photos I will start applauding myself instead of undermining myself.

My Goals:
I will achieve an"active" weight. At this weight, I will be healthy, and no longer have to take blood-pressure medicine.

My Program:
I will reach my goal weight by training myself to eat a "normal" amount of food. I currently eat 1800 to 2100 calories a day. This way, I will avoid the rebound effects of drastically changing my diet after reaching my goal weight. I am also increasing, not only my exercise, but general activity.

Personal Information:
I have struggled for years being a weight elevator (up and down, up and down) because I chose to "diet". I have finally figured out how to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Other Information:
I like fruits and vegetables.

Thank you for the flowers and good wishes when I was DOD! We were in VA visiting grandchildren and having a great time (and eating a little too much)!

Hope your being DOD was a great day, too! (I am STILL trying to catch up with everything after having been on our trip!)
