Live,Laugh &Love

Hello everyone, my name is Elaine , I became a member of SP in 2009,sadly I'm still stuck,and overweight. I'm at a point in life where I need to make drastic changes,not only to lose weight but improve my overall health. Once upon a time, I used to love to exercise but lost motivation.
I also wanted to share that I have Chron's disease, so nutrition is always a challenging. I also hope that I can make freinds and be a source of supports for others as well.

My Goals:
1. Improve my health.
2. gain flexibility
3. Lose body fat in a healthy manner
4. be more active
5. attend the gym at least 5 days per week
6. to lose 60 pounds by my 28th birthday
7. to be happy and healthy.

My Program:
Thus far, my goal is to do 5 hours of cardio per week.

3 hours of weight training per week

Hatha yoga 3x a week

I'm still working on a program that I will be consistent with

Elaine, if you want to aim for the end of March, then I, too, will aim for the end of March! Five pounds is TOTALLY doable by then!

Hey there, pretty lady!

It was fabulous to finally hear from you! Iím glad to hear that youíre still in one piece and working hard towards your goals. I know itís stated all of the time here on SparkPeople.com, but I genuinely believe that YOU CAN DO THIS.

Youíre right, there IS always room for improvement. But remember, ďRome was not built in a day,Ē and ďslow and steady win the race.Ē Never, ever beat yourself up for ONLY GOING TO THE GYM TWICE! Donít focus on the five days you didnít go to the gym... You went two days, and thatís a lot more than you used to go!

You and I are the exact same weight. I think this is calling for a WEIGHT LOSS COMPETITION! No, not really, but Iím totally going to try and match your five pound loss by the end of February.

I used to run on the treadmill here at work and wound up hurting my knees. Make sure you have a great pair of running shoes! I got up to 6.0 running for a few minutes at a time, but I had to stop and now Iíd be lucky if I could get to 5.0. I always push myself too hard when using equipment, which is one of the reasons I prefer to do these exercise videos and go swimming instead.

I hope youíre having a GREAT DAY and that you are able to stay on track with your diet and fitness routine.
