Mohammad Ali QUOTE: "I hated every minute of training, but I said (to myself) , 'Don't quit; suffer now, and live the rest of your life as a champion.''

We are all champions, EACH ONE REACH ONE AND NO ONE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND, we many have gained it alone, but we don’t loss it alone.

I lost the first 100 pounds pre-SparkPeople, without skills, knowledge, pills, buddies, or fads. Weight loss is an intimate thing for me; my first 100 pound weight loss came off slowly but steady in about 14 months. I did it and maintained it pretty good for several years. It was the love of family and friends supporting my efforts, I learned and adopted this one rule: “DO YOU.” There isn’t one set way to do anything. ”Do You,” and be honest with yourself and your attempts. Set your pace and it may or may not be the same as everyone else but IT’S ALL GOOD because SOMETHING is better than nothing. If you’re working out and everyone is doing jumping jacks and all you can do is jog in place, after trying to keep up... good for you keep jogging!!! No matter what you’re doing, it will be a benefit to your healthier lifestyle and fitness goal. KIM – Keep It Moving.

I have taken about 2 years off Spark, LIFE HAPPENED, and my focus was my health and my family. New medical diagnosis has given me a new direction shed those last 40ish/50 pounds; the hardest ones I am sure but I am a Champ and so are you.

I have to change my mind set about exercising and some of my food choices if I don't plan on living my life in the gym. Even with my weight loss success, this is an uphill scary journey for me to continue. I HATE the gym with a passion. With the help of my IPod. “IPrincess,” I would be overwhelmed and defeated before the first sweat bead formed on my forehead. But together, I have a fighting chance at knock’in out these last 40ish pounds. It might not be a TKO in the 1st round and that's okay. I'll be declared the winner after all the rounds are tallied up. This weight "IS GOING DOWN!!!"

I have ALWAYS felt sexy, attractive, and beautiful; even at the height of my weight gain size 24/26. My curves were just more dangerous, like "Dead Man’s Curves"... LOL I am working towards making my body reflect the growth I feel as a person. I literally survived my grief period and it was a long, dark, deafening loud road lasting a staggering 4’ish years. Suffering in chaotic silence is the best way to describe those years. I am proud of making my way back to life as I know it. My life will never be the same without my brother Steve, but different doesn't have to be bad, I’ve learned, understand, and now truly believe that.

The problem is when I look in the mirror, I don't see weight, I never have. What I see and do not like is the last of my grief nightmare, losing my only sibling unexpectedly when I was 25. That’s where this overall 140ish weight gain came from. These last 40’isn still linger, holding on to me like a security "fat suit" of my past and I want it gone. This is going to be a mental and physical battle. I am no punk, I'm showing up for a battle and I'M NOT SCARED.

Am I mentally ready or am I kidding myself??? Of course I am ready. I have some weight loss experience now, my old journal full of sabotage acts and “Stankin thankin” mental crimes against myself. I have Sparkpeople, the official "Training Camp of Healthier Living Champions." Giving me a wealth of knowledge, tips, and thousands of people warming up for their fight that can and will support me because they know EXACTLY what I’m going threw. If I am not ready today, I know "today" will never come. NOW IS THE TIME!! I already set the date and time to go in fighting so I can come out on top.

Don’t wish me luck, with God you don't need luck. Lend me your support, encouragement, and smile, I’ll need it more. Hang in there Champs, I am with you!!
~ding, Ding!, DING!!

I am open to change because change IS going to come. I don't fight it, although I do groan...lol I have learned to accept it for what it is. Enjoy the good while you can, I celebrate it to the fullest because change WILL come. Learn the lessons in bad times, so when they come they don't have to be repeated. HOLD ON/STAY STRONG till change comes back around. Living a life I am proud of has been a difficult task... how about you?? I'm just trying to live like I want to get into heaven, one day at a time.

Live and allow and encourage others to live THEIR life. Not the one you want for them; but the one they want for themselves. Ask yourself... do I hurt/hinder with my words or actions even though I don't mean/want to?? I know it is hard and not your intention, but we grow and eventually.... we change our nature. Be remembered as a positive powerful force or a simple ray of sunshine in someone's life's journey as they work hard at being the best THEY CAN BE.

Speak with compassion, not judgment, and you can be honest and still get your point across.

DO YOU, and allow, encourage, and support someone else to DO THEM.

Not into astrology as a life practice, but I gotta say for a personality description this is ALOT like me...LOL

Scorpio Woman
Slogan: I Desire, Therefore I am.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
The Scorpio woman can be extremely secretive by nature; she can be a very trusted friend or, alternatively, she can be a most fearsome enemy in life.

The Scorpio sign is the most mysterious and intense sign of the sexual zodiac and, in keeping with those qualities the Scorpio is the sign that is most closely related to the most feared and most fascinating aspects of life - that of Death and Sex. Both of these aspects “Death and Sex” are filled with and associated with the power of the unknown and, both are also extraordinarily transforming in nature.

This is the most rejuvenating of all the signs, allowing the Scorpio girl to "die" and recover. Rising up after every crisis and to perfect herself through out her struggles of refinement.

Yeah... that's me WOOHOO!

Alright… time to be about it, not just talk about.

My Goals:
I want to lose the last of my “grief fat suit,” tone all over, and work against the many medical conditions associated with severe obstructive sleep apnea.

I don't have a special number I want to see on the scale, but more of a desired "fitness body feel" I want to acquire with my curves staying DANGEROUS ;~) My desired body type... umm... Burlesque Starlet/ Pinup Model.

Celebrate and commemorate your accomplishments like they are all BIG because they ARE!! Please measure your success by either one of the following measurements:
1. Pounds lost.
2. Inches lost.
3. Strength gained.
4. Endurance gained.

Using these 4 markers, I don’t struggle making my scale my friend, I simply guarantee it’s not an enemy.

My Program:
Finding time for exercising SUCKS and I HATE to exercise, but it is a MUST to enjoy food the way it was intended - guilt free! I weigh in once a week typically.

I have an Elliptical and a Treadmill at home, many GREAT workout dvd's, and plan to get started on the C25K program – one day. Locally I have a gym and a track nearby. Doing something different every month is how I keep myself from getting bored and keep the internal whining down to a minimum.

Every other month will be time for me to make a new food/health regime challenge for myself. I don’t care for “low/lite” types of things, mentally they scream "I'M ON A DIET" and that SUCKS. So I stay somewhere between trying new healthier alternates (I can’t say I don’t like it if I haven’t tried it right?) and portion control on my favorites.

Personal Information:
I'm a Californian born and raised; and have never read a description of a Scorpio, I didn't agree with at least 98% ;~) I DESIRE THEREFOR I AM. Young in mind, spirit, and soon again.... body.

I work hard, I play even HARDER. Typically I don't have alot of unscheduled free time with a family so I ENJOY it when it comes and I spend it doing whatever I want to do.

Other Information:
I believe if God wanted me to be you He would have made us fraternal twins, if He wanted me to look like you He would have made us identical twins. We’re not, so I have got to be the best me I can because no one else is capable or willing to do it. And I do want to get into heaven one day, so I just keep trying to do my best.

Music plays all the time, I love all genres, great beats, and/or thought provoking lyrics. I dedicate a song to myself every month that plays at the start and end my workouts.

Movie, going out or staying in, it doesn't matter all genres included here too, even black and white and foreign films. I watch tv, but I LIVE reality I don’t want to watch it on tv… LOL Right now I am a avid HBO/ Showtime watcher.

I keep a book on hand. Every year I pick a genre to read, 2010 is plus size main characters and or course, I keep erotica books on the ready.

Thank you for reading my blog. My child returned from Afghanistan last month. She was wounded in May and had to fight to stay in the army.I wanted to check out her well earned scars and being 22 she wouldn't show them to me.My child is one tough cookie! She is talking Special Forces now. I checked on line and being a mom I have my heart in my throat.I didn't discourage her, just said"go for it"I may have to keep a bottle of whiskey close at hand until she changes careers.LOL! emoticon

Your webpage was very interesting. Some parts gave me encouragement to keep on training. Losing weight not easy and you never stop losing weight-cause you are always gaining or losing weight. I have struggled with losing weight ever since I was in college. I have met my weight gain and then I go back up. I always have to think about food and my weight. I need to exercise more and be more positive. Visit my webpage. We can keep in touch if you need a new friend. emoticon Fatburner#5 emoticon
