I'm still trying to figure out the best way to go about what seems to be a monumental task.

Personal Information:
I have a daughter who recently married and son in the Navy. Both are the lights of my life! I've been divorced for almost 8 years and sometimes I wonder if I could be any more content.

Other Information:
My weight is keeping me from going places and doing things, even with family.

Sometimes I think my life is one huge contradiction!!

I was reading some threads today and saw that you had joined our 50+ Members Team so I thought I would stop by, say hi, and welcome you to the team. You will receive lots of support and encouragement from everyone. Just post any prayer requests, questions, comments or suggestions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
You have come to the right place. Take advantage of what Spark has to offer. I want to see you accomplish your goals. Stay focused and keep a positive attitude as this will be a great help to you in your daily life!!! Smile although sometimes that is the hardest, but it really helps!!! And, if nothing else, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
Remember to just take one day at a time on this journey of a lifetime. This journey consists of many small steps, a few speed bumps and pot holes, and a lot of fun. I will be here for you and try to help you on this journey to your goals. YOU can do this!!!
Commit yourself to constant self-improvement the joy is truly in the journey! You are creating a body that is strong and balanced!
Use your fitness and nutrition tracker daily. Watch your portion control. Be sure to drink plenty of water (8 - 8oz glasses a day) and walk. Water and walking will help you on this journey of weight loss and lowering numbers. Start small if that is all you can do or have time to do and add to it as you are able. Even 5-10 minutes several times a day adds up to bigger numbers and will keep you moving. Invest in a good pedometer (about $10) and see how many steps you currently take each day. Before long you will be adding steps just to see how many you can do and how far you can go. WHAT A GREAT MOTIVATOR!!! YOU can do this!!! I am disabled and this works for me. Take each day one small step at a time they'll add up over time.
You can make a choice. Tell that little voice to cease and desist with those negative thoughts. Introduce positive self-talk into your life today! You are creating a body that is strong and balanced! From your own efforts, you will make a difference, and you will feel good about yourself. You are a unique, beautiful, and rare individual the one and only you!

God bless you on your journey to a healthier you. Take each day as it comes and enjoy it to the fullest!!! Congratulations on your 8.2 pound weight loss. You are doing a great job!! Give my congratulations to the happy bride and groom also. Prayers will be going out for your son for all his spoken and unspoken needs. Special thanks to him for serving our great country.
