53, happily married, have arthritis - bad knees and hips so i know i should exercise but it hurts. i only need to lose 10 lbs but would love to lose 20. seems like the less you have to lose, the harder it is ! i love to cook (but NOT bake!) and of course I love all the fattening comfort foods like mac n cheese, chicken n biscuits, etc. i try not to deprived myself of these foods, but i have forced myself to eat less of them and with a LOT of veggies on the side.

My Goals:
get back into some sort of exercising. lose min of 10 lbs but prefer 20.

look for good recipes that my husband would like also to help us both lose weight.

My Program:
watching what i eat. eating more healthy foods. trying to eat more salads and veggies with meals to cut down on the carbs.

Personal Information:
VERY RURAL area, so do not have access to a nice gym, etc.

Other Information:
i love to cook (but NOT bake!) and of course I love all the fattening comfort foods like mac n cheese, chicken n biscuits, etc. i try not to deprived myself of these foods, but i have forced myself to eat less of them and with a LOT of veggies on the side. i recently made a lighter version of chicken and biscuits by using a whole head of cauliflower, cooked in some of the broth while the rest was separating until i could puree it with my immersion blender. results were fantastic! no way could you even tell there was cauliflower in the gravy
