Hi all! so I am on the last leg of my weight loss journey, low carb high protein all the way! I eat lots of vegetables, all organic and mostly local foods, nothing packaged, and low sodium. It's taken me over 2 years, and it's been a SLOW process, but I look forward to being in maintenance and toning up a LOT!
I am lucky enough to live in San Francisco, near great grocery stores (Trader Joes!) and lots of farmers markets. It's very easy to eat healthy in California, and my diet has definitely benefited!

My Goals:
This is a new year coming up and I have set new goals for myself for 2010.

My new weight goal is 125 and I plan to meet that by the end of April by following a very reduced carb (40 g max) diet.


My Program:
1) NO simple carbs - pasta, potatoes, rice, and products made from refined flour- very good at this so far this year

2) eat more complex carbs - vegetables and fruits

3) Eat more"good" fats - fish, nuts, olives, avocados

4) No processed foods- VERY good at this so far




Personal Information:
I am from NJ, then boston for ten years, and now San Francisco finally feels like home. I work in the travel industry currently, and have for the past 15 years. My focus is on eco and sustainable tourism.


Other Information:
Low carb and exercise is all that has ever worked for me to lose and maintain weight loss. I have been overweight most of my life and when I turned 30 years old I had enough. I hired a personal trainer who really changed my body. Since then I have been much more active and have a lot more energy. Now at 32 I feel better than ever, and younger than ever.

    Hey, what's going on. great to see your success.

    I'm assuming the eat regular, eat clean, eat high protein, exercise lifestyle...just started. Been battling weight for a while but I always tried cutting calories...WHAT CRAP!

    Anyway, "switched" about 2 weeks ago and it is amazing how much more energy I have.

    But honestly, I have to admit I was a little nervous that eating roughly 2600 clean calories a day would translate to weight loss...it looks like it worked great for you!
