I have always said that this would be my last resort. I have been struggling with my weight all my life. But I never gave up on trying to get it off. I have tried diets after diets, plans after plans to no avail, I take the weight off and put it back on plus more. But I never stopped trying. I love to exercise I would workout 7 days a week I loved it just that much. But I have two bad knees my right knee needs to be replaced and they want do it until I lose some weight they say I need to get my BMI down to at least a 40 before they do anything. But I didn't let that stop me from doing the little exercising that I could do. And then some years later I started having problems with my lower back, hips and my legs. I was in so much pain from trying to walk that they put me on total bed rest and of course I gained weight from that. I had a MRI and they found a mass in my spine, which had stopped me from exercising and doing everything. Because I was not able to walk I was not getting any fluids from my waist down it had blocked blood and fluids from getting to my lower half of my body. I went through surgery and had to heal from that, when that was done I had gained 136 more lbs. which put me at a total of 368 lbs. I went through physical therapy and took off a little of the weight but not enough. So over the course of three years I still struggled with my weight up and down yo-yoing. So I did some research and I found a Doctor I felt good about went to a seminar and after visiting all the Doctors they wanted you to to get a clearance and 3 months with a nutritionist and 2 months with a dietitian. Then I had Bariatric Surgery "Loop Duodenal Switch" on 27th of December 2016 and doing very well. I had my first Doctor visit 9 days later on my 54th B-day, the 4th of January 2017 and I was 22 lbs lighter a wonderful gift to myself. I plan to keep doing what the program says so within 18 months I can reach my goal of 170 lbs. I will do monthly up dates. Best of luck to everyone.
