And a 10K in April of 2015 Thanks to all the wonderful people that I have met along the way and have cheered me on to lose the weight and to provide the support. Somehow I feel like I can't let my friends down on this site which then spurs me on to go exercise if I am thinking twice about it. Let's keep up the great work my wonderful spark friends, together we can do anything!
Goals for 2015 Continue to maintain! Run more 5K's Run at least one 10K -Done on 4/25/15 Continue to train and run weekly for longer distances. I can do it!
My goal was to lose weight, and to get in great shape. I can run for the first time in my life. Spark people has helped me lose over 40 lbs. I plan on traveling all over the world as time permits so I want to be in the best shape possible to climb stairs and ruins no matter where we go.
Cardio at least 6 days a week for 45 mins to an hour. I have come to love exercise and look forward to it and really do think of it as "me time". I will add in more strength training this year and continue to train for another 5K. Inclines on the treadmill are great workouts so I will add them in on non run days as well as the elliptical.
I live in St. Paul MN. I have been married for 30 years to a wonderful man that is extremely supportive no matter my size or weight. He has always loved me for me! I have sparked him as well to watch what he eats and how much, he is not as crazy about it as I am but baby steps are great!
I have 2 beautiful daughters. My oldesthas graduated from college and my youngest is a junior in college.They are both naturally thin girls and I am so glad that they inherited their fathers metabolism! They are very supportive of me and my healthy life style change and willing to try new recipes as long as they aren't too crazy. Of course, these are girls that grew up eating octopus and squid so they are pretty brave eaters!
~~~ ~~~~~RULES OF CHOCOLATE~~~~~ ~~~ 1. If you've got chocolate on your hands, you're eating it to slow. 2. Chocolate raisins, cherries, and strawberries count as fruit. 3. Eat a chocolate bar before a meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite.
4. Money talks. Chocolate sings. 5. Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look young. 6. Eat equal amount of white and dark chocolate...they'll contradict each other for a balanced diet.
7. There's no Chocolate Anonymous. No one wants to quit. 8. If you can't get 2 lbs. of chocolate home in a hot car, eat it in the parking lot. 9. Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your daily things to do list. That way, you get one thing done.
With Valentine's Day only a week away, I am dedicating this week to Chocolate, because there's nothing better than sharing with a friend..unless it is a friend with chocolate.
