I CAN do this... You CAN do this!

Hey guys. I'm just another girl in her 30's who finally realized something had to change~ I was miserable, unhealthy, and dealing with really low self esteem. I am getting healthier and making fitness goals I never thought I would attempt, much less achieve. I have found great motivation through Sparkpeople & my crazy healthy husband and have lost 60 pounds since November 2010. I am longer diabetic nor am I obese. I still have 50 pounds to go until my goal weight but now I know what I thought ...
I still have 50 pounds to go until my goal weight but now I know what I thought was impossible is definitely possible.

SP has educated me and helped me to realize how ignorant I was regarding food and nutrition. Knowledge is an important tool in weight loss. I encourage you to be active in your health~ only you can make yourself take the steps toward change. Others can help you along the way but you have to want this and work for it. I have never heard anyone say, "I regret getting healthy". I always wonder why I waited so long to make the changes that have turned my life around.

Life is too short to be miserable and sedentary. I encourage you to get up, get active, and get healthy. You CAN do this!

I just saw your question on my book suggestion - The Art of Roughhousing. (I haven't been Sparking much.) Yes, I think the book would be perfect for a parent of a 4 year old. It is a super quick read - fast paced explaining the overall benefits (intellectual, emotional) of roughhousing and then diagrams of ideas. Some are really rough and tumble (things I'd never do - like mattress down the stairs) but it opened my eyes to being more physical with my son. My library had it, maybe yours does too!

Hey there Lovely Lady!!! How are you doing? I hope all is well!

We've had a rough time lately with my 5 yr old, but we were able to get her on an IEP at school, and we have a psych eval next month. My 8 yr old's dance group won a platinum at their last competition and are gearing up for nationals now. SO proud of them!

I'm starting the Whole30 lifestyle, and trying to re-learn how to eat (since everything I ate before was just junk!)

Write me back and let me know what has been happening in your life! I've missed you!

You've been running a long time & you still don't love it? See, I just think some people aren't made to be runners.
Now, if we were talking about yoga, I would be all over it. There's just something so strong about a yoga class for me. I love twisting my body and being able to isolate certain muscle groups to help me go further.
I see I misse dyour birthday, I hope it was a fun one! Have a great weekend.
