**Updated** I hit my goal weight on Friday December 3rd and passed it by a pound. I am studying to become a Zumba instructor. My certification is set for January 9th in Boston. I already have a class lined up to teach on Tues nights starting mid-January plus two more in the works. I am extremely lucky to have an amazing Zumba instructor who has been guiding me. I am able to borrow all of her collected info and music and choreography to get me started. I am nervous but excited and can't believe that I am actually doing this. Looking back I could never have pictured taking a fitness class nevermind teaching one. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to my husband and daughters for always supporting me in everything. I would not have had to courage to get this far without you. You guys are my world and I love you!

I'm a 34 year old wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. I started my weight loss journey 4 years ago and have lost 110 pounds. I have 5 more to hit my goal weight. Anything after that will be my bonus prize. I'm excited to be close to my goal. I also can't wait to start a new journey called "maintaining". I've joked with my friends that I feel like I've gone to college for weight loss seeing as it's taken me 4 years and alot of learning. I have had some stumbling blocks along the way. Alot of ovarian cysts and endometriosis. I've had to have a laperoscopy four times and that really puts a damper on working out. I did gain about 20lbs back last winter after my last surgery and lost that all plus some this summer. I hope to stay on the path I am on now. I feel great and have a ton of energy.

My Goals:
I've finally hit my goal weight. I wouldn't mind losing another 10 lbs but that will be the icing on my cake. My goal was 160 but since I passed that I had to change it to 150 or I got an error when I tryied to edit my profile.

My Program:
Alot of cardio. Treadmill, Zumba and weights. We cycle on the warmer months.

Personal Information:
I'm almost 35 years old.
5'8" tall.
I'm Irish which means I have "good breeding hips".
I'm a month away from being a Zumba instructor. Certification is January 9th, 2011 in Boston.

    Great job! I just started my weight loss journey and am at the same size as you started. I deal with PCOS but am really loving walking on the treadmill. I will have to check out zumba. Keep up the great work!

    you're awesome! i too suffer from endometriosis....which is what kicked my butt in to gear with exercise. i don't want a full hysterectomy like my mother had nor can i tolerate hormonal birth control, so i'm excersing daily with the hope i can turn it around. has your condition been improved or even gone away? would love to know how excercise has helped you.

    Great page! You're an inspiration and I've added you as a friend in hopes that you'll give me some information on Zumba. I've wanted to tri it for so long and have a dance background, so I think I'd be good at it, but for some reason am hesitant. I am from the Boston area and have been cracking down on this journey.     You are amazing & inspirational!! I am adding you as a spark friend because I'd like to check in and see how you are doing from time to time. We're close to the same height, but I'm still a ways from my goal weight (which I think is about where you are now - you look great!). I also discovered Zumba 6 weeks ago and becoming quite passionate about it.
