Keep Moving Forward...

I am an educator at a zoo - I LOVE what I am doing, but constantly feel like I need more energy. I want to be able to run around and play games with the kids I teach, without becoming out of breath. I also have MS, so I know I need to be more careful with my diet and health than I currently am. It's a slow start, but it's a start...

Rats. My goals don't all fit in the sidebar, so I'm posting them here:

Short Term Goals:

Start walking again, at least a mile a day, and move up to running/jogging.

Run (or even walk) multiple 3 or 5Ks.

Take a group fitness class.

Watch my eating - try to aim for under 1300 calories a day. Include lots of fruits and veggies, fewer "white" carbs.

Get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep a night (possibly the hardest one!).

Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

Weigh under 170lbs, and fit into a size 12.

Be comfortable shopping for clothes.

Be more confident on stage and in front of crowds for work (and not HATE tucking my shirt in!).


Long Term Goals:

Run a 10 minute mile.

Be able to do 10 push ups.

Run a half marathon.

Run a marathon.

Be a size 10.

Weigh under 140 lbs.

Wear a bathing suit in public. Happily.

Be able to wear a halter top or strapless dress comfortably (and look hot!).


"Dream" Goals:

Be able to call myself a runner.

Talk about healthy living and fitness without feeling self conscious or silly.

Run a triathlon.

TEACH a group fitness class.

Weigh 125lbs or less, and fit into a size 4 or 6.

Wear a bikini in public.

Be able to throw on clothes without fussing, and know they'll look GOOD.

Be featured in one of my fitness magazines. As the "after".
