I am currently keeping his principles in mind while working to lose weight before summer holidays! This means I eat natural foods whenever possible, by avoiding artificial sweeteners, additives and most processed or packaged foods. I have been a vegetarian since 2004 and I love experimental, gourmet vegetarian cooking. I successfully lost 20 pounds very easily by tracking my calories and increasing my workouts. That was in 2010, and I got too comfortable with my success! I stopped tracking and replaced my workouts with language courses, but after a year realized that I'm at my happiest when I prioritize my health. I got back in the groove in the summer of 2011, and now in early 2012 I've met my weight loss goals and I'm building my strength and endurance! I owe my body to SparkPeople and my local YMCA... and trust me, if I can do it, you can too!

My Goals:
I have met and surpassed my initial weight loss goal. I have set an arbitrarily lower goal, but my primary focus is to keep building strength and cardiovascular endurance while nourishing my body with healthy foods.
My Program:
- Tracking every single calorie. Sometimes I go over my recommended daily limit, but I still enter every last bite in my tracker. - Exercising. I am uncoordinated. I'm not naturally strong. I've never been good at sports. I feel awkward at the gym. But I go anyways. All the time.
