10/12/12 I have still been dealing with my Crohn's disease. I just started taking prednisone. The most common side effect of that medication is weight gain. I'm not going to allow that to happen to myself! I'm taking control, by eating within my calorie range and going to exercise at least three times a week. 10/12/12 I have still been dealing with my Crohn's disease. I just started taking prednisone. The most common side effect of that medication is weight gain. I'm not going to allow that to happen to myself! I'm taking control, by eating within my calorie range and going to exercise at least three times a week. The exercise part is a start! 8/2012 It's been a while since I have been on here regularly. I need to get back in the pattern of taking care of my health. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in April, but have not lost much weight on account of it. Probably ten pounds I've lost since May, but I am back down to 160 lbs. I am about 15 lbs up from my lowest weight from a couple years ago. My goal right now is to get into the pattern of exercise and eating healthy. I made one healthy choice to reduce my stress and reduced my hours at my second job from 30 hours a week to about 5 to 10. 1/20/2010 I lost 40 lbs from February 2009 to August 2009. I slacked off a bit on exercising and eating healthy, but only managed to gain 5 lbs from August to January. I then started workout out regularly on 1/13/10. I have been making wiser food choices also. I canceled my gym membership yesterday, and I am now working out at home on my elliptical and using workout DVD's.I feel like I get a way better workout at home. My name is Heather, and I'm 24 years old. I am married, own an adult foster care home company, and am a registered nurse. I've been on Sparkpeople now since 2007, but this year, I have really been committed to it. Before, I would stick with it for a few weeks or a month, but I've been consistent since right around Feb 2009. These new lifestyle changes are now here to stay. I feel soooo much better and have lost weight. My biggest support so far has been from the spark team "Done Being the Fat Girl", the best team ever!!!!!! 10/8/08 193(SW) 11/18/08 185 Kinda fell of the wagon for a while there 01/01/09: 189 02/02/09: 183 03/01/09: 175 lbs (yay!) I went on vacation and was super busy with homework, not working out much, so: 4/01/09 178 lbs 5/02/09 169.5 lbs 8/09 150 lbs 1/13/10 156 lbs 1/20/10 153 lbs 4/21/2010 151 lbs was down to 143 lbs... ********************************

My Goals:
My goal is to avoid gaining weight! I hope to lose some weight too, to get down to 135 lbs, but I know it may take longer than usual due to prednisone (medication).
My Program:
Eating 1200-1500 calories per day, and exercising at least 3 days per week. Keeping it simple in my not so simple schedule.
