Now that I have successfully gotten to my goal weight and maintained it for over 3 years through healthy eating and daily exercise,
I've set my goals on achieving 100% Clean Eating most everyday. Continued high levels of physical activity 6 days a week and gaining more muscle defination through strength training.
It's been a long time since I've had the time to fully focus on my health
I lead a very busy life, and being on Spark People supports my new lifestyle.
No more falling off the wagon. This is it!!!
So, my meals are all Flexitarian meals now . I've mostly eliminated all processed foods 90% of the time. I prefer it this way. I do enjoy eating foods close to it's natural state....but I must admit that I still have a weakness for the occassional indulgence..ie:- desserts!!!
I run 4 times a week,cycle 2 times a week and strength train 2 times a week.
As far as my weight is concerned I would like to see 115LBS. by June09
I will do this through healthy eating and following my exercise plan.
My goal is to maintain this lifestyle for life. I've learnt how to enjoy life and it's special occassions like Christmas, Anniversaries, Birthdays etc.. using the tools that I've learnt from my friends here at Spark People!!!
I do cardio 6x week, and strength train 3 x week. I've developed a passion for running over the past 3 years, and I now run whenever I get the opportunity. I also love jumping rope and strength training.
I 've begun to practise Clean Eating daily. It's taken time for me to get this far. I'm about 95% clean with my food now and switching to a Flexitarian way of eating has made it easier to keep my food in-take clean.

I live in the suburbs of Halifax,Nova Scotia(HRM to the locals)
I'm 46years old and I've got 2 girls 11 and 15yrs old, a dog and a gem for a husband.
I'm currently back at College up-grading my skills and working part time.

The Step Diet is a safe, sane, logical way to progress from where you are, to where you want to go via baby steps, i.e. reaching 10,000 steps a day or more, but only increasing daily walking by 3-5mins ea week to do so. Brenda Willis (shown in the video) did; she lost 140+ lbs on The Step Diet, AND she did it in her mid 40s, AND she has kept it off 7+ years. She had been overweight most of her adult life, and always on a diet, prior to The Step Diet. True Lifestyle Change! There is also a book you can order from Amazon, "The Step Diet"; I haven't been able to find it in secondary (used) book markets but a couple team members have.
This Lifestyle Change is about learning energy balance; how many daily steps equal weightloss; and when you reach the point that you're maintaining, how many steps equal a piece of dessert, etc., so that you can keep it off F-O-R-E-V-E-R. Welcome! Carol
