I can't believe how long ago I started this journey. The really sad thing is how long ago it was since I worked at it and how much weight I have gained back since May of 2008.
I am ready to get motivated again. It has taken me a while to get this feeling back again. I have started counting calories again and will start working out on a regular basis again soon. Right now my workouts mainly involve weeding the garden and trying to keep that under control.

I am ready to get motivated again. It has taken me a while to get this feeling back again. I have started counting calories again and will start working out on a regular basis again soon. Right now my workouts mainly involve weeding the garden and trying to keep that under control.
My main goal is still to get back to 135 again. I understand that it will be a long haul getting there so I am making small goals along the way. Can't wait to get back to 160, where I left off in May 2008. I just read the article about working on the 10%, that sounded like a great starting point so that is what I will do.

I currently am very ashamed to admit that I have let myself get up to 206, so Goal Number 1 is by October 15 to be down to185.
I will update in October if not sooner.

Wow the New Year is finally here. I didn't stay with my goals in December. I ended up getting sick, eating too much Christmas candy and traveling more than planned. I am going to start my goals again. I will post my January goals below.

Time to rewrite my intro. I have been with SP since last Feb. I stayed pretty dedicated until May of 08, to that point I had lost close to 30 lbs off of my highest weight. Through the summer I was on the road quite a bit and it was a little more difficult to stick to my diet. I have now gained 10 lbs back. It is time to get refocused and lose the rest of this weight.
I am starting over at 180 and plan to get to 135 by my 37th birthday.
It has been real difficult for me to get back into the swing of things, but I am dedicated to make it happen. I want to take this slowly so it might be easier to keep it off. I also know that Christmas is just around the corner and so are all the treats that go along with the season. I am not going to torture myself with this, but instead I am going to make a concious effort to control the over eating of junk food.

I know it helps to have weekly goals, I had previously posted them in the blog. This time I think I am just going to add it right here too.

I am almost 36, I have lost 20 lbs since starting SP. Now, I still have another 30-35 to lose. When I started I wanted to lose it by early summer. NOW, I realize that I will just take it when it comes, actually I want to do it slow, the right way.

I feel so much more energetic and better about myself now. I cannot believe I let myself get so overweight. I am really enjoying the ride to riding better again.

My Goals:
My goal is to get back to 135 again. I would love to keep going at my pace right now. That means by July I should be right around 150. That also means by September I should be ready for maintenance work.

My Program:
Cardio 30-60 min 5-6 X's a week.

Pilates 3-5 X's a week

strength training 2-3 X's a week.

When the weather gets nice - add extra work outside, running, more riding, etc.

Watch what I eat. Try to stay away from as much chocolat as I can.

Personal Information:
I have the most wonderful and supportive family in the world. My husband and I train and sell Calf Roping and Barrel Racing horses. At my current weight, I do not show the horses as well as I use to.
