Doing it the Right Way! Working Hard!!

I am working on this weight loss thing and its a lot harder than I thought. I am determined that I will at least make it below 200. Its been forever since I have seen that number.

That sounds like a really crappy excuse, but its a big part of why I left SP for awhile. I was getting irritated with what I was reading, and I wasn't enjoying being here anymore. I wasn't making progress either, which probably also motivated leaving.

In my time away I have not been productive in losing weight, or even exercising, but I have been productive in making better food choices... most of the time. I found the Weston A. Price Foundation, and their way of eating is very appealing to me. It feels like the correct way for me to eat. It has also been one of the easiest eating plans that I have ever been on, but the hardest at the same time.

I have been trying hard to get myself back in the gym, but its not really working. I am at a bad place regarding school right now though. I am having a hard time getting myself to do much of anything regardless of its importance.

After about a 3ish month hiatus, I think I am ready to get back to work. I have a ton of work to do on myself, both physically and mentally, but I think I am at the point where I am ready to do it!

Weight loss has been slow these past 2 and a half months... I was only eating right and healthy about 75% of the time. We are eating out fiends though... Working on that. I have decided to rededicate myself to eating right, and at my new gym, I get a personal training session, so I am going to use that to get a strength training program in place. I am going to bust through these pounds and do it right this time!! I need to do more exercise, too! Ugh. I get so lazy sometimes. No more!

**Update** 4/2011 After falling and hurting myself while taking wedding pictures, I stopped working out because it was painful. My recuperation was slow and I still have times where my knee kind of gives out, but its so much better than it was before.

Now that I am back with SP, I am ready to rededicate myself to working out and losing weight. I now like more vegetables than ever before, and slowly I am convincing my husband to like them, too.

I also came up with my rewards system! I have a few spots to fill in still... But I will figure it out.

My Goals:
I want to enjoy my body and not be ashamed of its lumpy state. I want to see myself as the sexy woman that my husband does.

I want to be healthy. I am planning for the babies in my future and I want to be around for grandbabies too!

I want to live a healthy lifestyle. I want to not be winded going up the stairs at work. I want to be able to go snowboarding with my coworkers and not feel like I can't keep up.

I want to be able to live my life with no restrictions! At all!

My Program:
I have drastically limited fast food in my diet and I am working hard at adding more fruits and veggies.

I have also added exercise which I never got into before. I just got a strength training program in place, and I have been using the elliptical for most of my cardio.

Personal Information:
My name is Hillery. I am 24 and really, truly ready for a lifestyle change.

I am living in Fargo, ND currently.

I recently married a fantastic man who loves me just like I am now.

Other Information:
I love to spend time looking at other people's success photos. Its inspiring and makes it so much easier to continue on this journey to better health.

I am a student at NDSU where I am studying Anthropology. I am interested in studying food. and all the reasons why people eat what they do, and different cooking methods, and everything about it. Food is so fascinating to me. I hope to be able to attend Boston University for grad school for their Gastronomy program. Also, I love to cook! This new lifestyle is definitely increasing the amount of time I spend cooking, which is not a bad thing at all.

I also love watching TV. Possibly my downfall previously... Haha! Favorite shows... Bones. The Daily Show. Sex and the City. South Park. Boston Legal. United States of Tara.
