HilaryMM -- Back from the Rabbit Hole

Hi there. I started what I called a "no-crap" diet in June 2009 when I could not button my size 14 jeans. I weighed 170 pounds. I lost 22 pounds, gained muscle tone, and started feeling great. I went from a size 14 to a size 8.

Then I hit a plateau. Now the weather is colder and it is harder to exercise outdoors. I came to SparkPeople so that I could start a food log and keep myself motivated. I am now down almost 30 pounds, and still going!

Glad to hear that you are still keeping your health in check. It's been a long hard process for me since I had a hysterectomy last year and was thrown into menopause but I am working my way back one day at a time.

Hi...just read your take on Pilates, and how it minimized your c section belly droop....That's inspiring. I thought that was here to stay, but thanks to you I may just minimize that sucker. Thanks!

I agree that Pilates class are ridiculously expensive. To me there isn't anything about them that is any different from a yoga work out. Joseph Pilates developed the exercises from using bed springs for soldiers who had injuries from World War 1 and who couldn't get out of the beds. He did it for Physical Therapy reasons.

Thank you for checking in on me. You may not know but I am now working. By the time I work and keep up with kids and the house I just don't have the time that I use to to post but I am still here. It was also a crazy busy weekend celebrating my birthday with friends. It's nice to know that I am missed. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! emoticon
