Ready to make HEALTHY my lifestyle!
This is my third time at Spark. Last summer (my second attempt) was very rough. I exercised daily, but just felt more and more tired, and my mood followed my energy. I finally decided to give things a rest, and focus on other areas of life for a bit. I finally went to the DR this spring. DR believes I'm not able to use the thyroid I produce, and put me on a low dose of thyroid. I've been slowly increasing the dose. Immediately I was able to sleep again - I'd been struggling ...
This is my third time at Spark. Last summer (my second attempt) was very rough. I exercised daily, but just felt more and more tired, and my mood followed my energy. I finally decided to give things a rest, and focus on other areas of life for a bit. I finally went to the DR this spring. DR believes I'm not able to use the thyroid I produce, and put me on a low dose of thyroid. I've been slowly increasing the dose. Immediately I was able to sleep again - I'd been struggling with only 3-4 hours a night. Also, I've been able to ditch the long johns I usually wear November to June. I'm still waiting to feel my energy go back to "normal" but that may be a function of weight. I'm back to exercising almost every day, and am thrilled to actually see the weight coming off. Last time I lost it took me two years to lose 40 pounds! I'd love to see progress more quickly than that this time around. 7/3/12 164 lbs. 10 pounds lost! YEA!

My Program:
I'm setting goals that I can continue forever. I know from past experience that you have to keep doing what you did to lose, or the weight will come back. NEVER AGAIN! Something aerobic - 3 to 4x/wk Weights 2-3x/week

I'm a proud mom to an 12-year-old daughter. I've been happily married to my hubby for almost 18 years. I just finished my M.A. in elementary ed.
Other Information:
I love: time spent moving outdoors (hiking, walking, gardening, playing, etc.), good books, great music (especially live), and family time!
