I Have High Hopes for Success!
I am 51 going on 52, and am determined not to go forward into the rest of my life with a weight problem. I am also newly married (first time), have 3 stepchildren, ages 21 - 24, and have a demanding job. So you can see, the stress in my life can be considerable. I admit that this is not the first time I've tried to lose weight. My Goals:
- Lose 24 lbs. - Get in great physical shape - Learn to cope with stress in healthy ways
My Program:
Because I have tried (and failed) to stick with a diet and exercise program before, I have set very small, incremental goals, and try to work up to larger goals every week. For example, I started a few weeks ago with a goal of drinking 6 glasses of water/day; now, my goal is to drink 6 glasses of water/day. Overall, I am more concerned with getting really fit and healthy than looking good (although that would be an added bonus).
Other Information:
I love to cook, but with a new, demanding job, I'm having a hard time making healthy dinners for me and my spouse.
