On the road to a better me...
5/28/10: Help!!! 1/3/10: All right... I have been AWOL since the end of September. I kind of quit logging in, following the program, and eventually exercising, shortly after I hit 50 pounds lost. Pretty silly, huh? A couple of things happened, I think... for one, I just flat out needed some time to adjust to being 50 pounds smaller before I continued to my goal. For two, the holidays and a sudden, doubled workload at work sort of derailed my schedule and consistency. ...
5/28/10: Help!!! 1/3/10: All right... I have been AWOL since the end of September. I kind of quit logging in, following the program, and eventually exercising, shortly after I hit 50 pounds lost. Pretty silly, huh? A couple of things happened, I think... for one, I just flat out needed some time to adjust to being 50 pounds smaller before I continued to my goal. For two, the holidays and a sudden, doubled workload at work sort of derailed my schedule and consistency. So now I am back. I just logged my first workout of the DECADE and it sure felt great! I am writing this here to remind myself how great it feels to exercise! Hey you! Have you had a bad day? Feeling too down and depressed to go to the gym? This is the best time to go! I guarantee you, after 20 minutes in the zone, you will feel the best you have felt ALL DAY! Just do it!!! I have 30 pounds to lost this year to reach my final goal. I can and will do this! I am looking forward to both feeling and looking great. I am so ready for this new decade to be amazing! 8/18/09: I have been at my halfway point for a couple of weeks now. I have now lost over 40lbs with Sparkpeople! Yay! I have lost almost all of the weight I gained when I was pregnant (and the weight I gained AFTER my daughter was born.) Now I just have to stay determined and consistent for the long haul, achieve a healthy weight for my body, and learn to maintain that weight and a healthy lifestyle for THE REST OF MY LIFE on this earth! God willing! My mini goal is to be below 200 by my 30th birthday on 09-09-09. Seems like a good date to set a goal by! 5 pounds to go! Can I do it??? 3/23/09: After the birth of my beautiful 9lb baby girl, I have managed to hold onto a lot of extra weight. I was not exactly thin to begin with, so I know there is a lot I can do right now to move in the direction towards a healthier me. My baby girl needs a healthy mommy! I posted some photos up on my page here of the last time I dieted and actually got skinny back in 2005 as inspiration and motivation to myself. I have had weight loss success in the past, but I have gone on really strict programs and eventually I burn out, go back to old habits, and gain all the weight back. In my current case, I had gained all the weight back, gotten pregnant, gained some more weight, and then gained even more weight after the baby was born! I am currently at an all-time high! It is hard to get started, but I know that if I don't do something now, the scale will continue to move in the wrong direction. I can't have regrets or get down on myself for where I am now. I can only live in the present moment, accept myself for who I am, and choose to make positive changes. I am looking for buddies and support in making a lifestyle change. I cannot focus on the scale, but on becoming healthier and adopting healthy habits that I can live with forever. I am done being the fat girl! I am choosing now to be healthy and happy! I don't need to get back down to a super skinny state. Just somewhere healthy that I can live with and be happy.
