You love thunder and lightning? I can sort of understand. I grew up in the South, where there were almost daily thunderstorms in the summer. I remember the drama of severe thunderstorms. It was kind of exciting, though sometimes terrifying, like when lightning went through a window of the house across the street and burned a hole in my childhood friend's bed. Thank God, he wasn't in it at the time! I've seen trees split and knew a man who was killed when he unwisely kept on playing gold when he should have already evacuated to the clubhouse. But when you're safely sheltered inside your house, thunderstorms can be quite cozy, and I sort of miss them, because where I live in Japan, they always seem to hit very far in the distance, where I can see but not hear them.

    Hope you're doing great!

Carolyn! I was so happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for reading my blog about being "fired" from taking care of my adult daughter. It feels pretty good, but of course, I still have a lot of work to do. I'm hopeful.

I think of you whenever I see a weather map of the US. Most recently, it was a "heat dome" over the entire continent. I zeroed in on New Mexico, which did not look exactly habitable. I hope you and your kitties are doing okay in the severe heat!
